Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I get the ziti sausage pepper bake minus the fire roasted peppers , it's a awesome meal ! There house salad is a local favorite.

I'm a 3rd generation dego, and this is a brilliant little Italian restaurant. And I ususally don't like Italian food outside of my family's home! It's pretty much a outdated dump! But DO NOT be alarmed by that. The best Itanlian resturants are! My grandma didn't have marble floors! She too had velvet wallpaper. I like their salads. Dieters bewarded, its not a diet salad... but yum all the same!

It's been years since I've been here, it was actually called Firello's (spelling) at it's inception. The decor is outdated, and it has a dark dingy feel, but don't be alarmed. It's a friendly atmosphere. You'll be welcomed with a smile. The salad and homemade bread ROCK! I could eat that until I explode, it's quite addictive. I ordered the eggplant parm, I enjoyed it, although I had a few of my pasta noodles clumped together. That bothers me at home, as well as at a dinner I pay for. The eggplant was ample, and tasted fine. The sauce was good, but a bit tart for my taste, although I'll order this dish again. My kids all had the Philly steak sandwich, it looked great, and tasted good, but a tiny bit on the bland side. I'm sure a dash of salt would of fixed that. What I liked was that it wasn't greasy, it was a solid sandwich. Prices are fair and I'll go back, you'll get a good meal without breaking the bank. BTW, don't get to weirded out at the location, its fine.

If this restaurant were in Pittsburgh, I'd give it 3 stars, but since it's in East Liverpool, I'll give it 4. I had the caesar salad, which was only OK. Other reviewers rave about the salad; I don't know if I ordered the wrong kind or if my standards are higher, but the salad dressing on mine was mediocre (probably right out of the bottle), the dressing was served on the side, not tossed with the salad, as it should be. My lasagne was good. I think the salmon with lump crabmeat dish that my friend got was the best entree at our table; if I were returning, I'd try that. The homemade rolls were good, and the waiter was very friendly and attentive. I wouldn't let this scare you away from the restaurant, but if visiting, you might want to inquire about the WTI incinerator, a few blocks away. The toxic pollution from this incinerator has been a health concern for residents in the neighboorhood for years. I hope they either shut it down or tighten the oversight of WTI: ohiocitizen.org/campaign…

THE UP-SIDE: Having recently stayed in this area for business, my colleagues and I were pleasantly surprised to find Casa De Emanuel. Tucked away in a rather quiet section of East Liverpool, and without any windows, the restaurant is easy to miss. However, open the doors and you step into a warm and wonderful little place. Casa De Emanuel is a cozy and warm Italian restaurant. The servers are pleasant and at the ready, and the food is quite tasty. THE DOWN-SIDE: Some people might feel a little cramped here, but I found it more cozy than anything. THE SUM-IT-UP: If you are in this area and looking for a great dining experience, Casa De Emanuel is one of your only options. It doesn't disappoint. Go for the pleasant atmosphere, friendly servers, and tasty Italian food. This isn't "fine dining," but it is a solid choice for a good dinner.

We waited ten minutes just for someone to welcome us and seat us. And its was more of come on then a hello. The waitress showed up asked us our drinks what we wanted to eat and never stopped to ask us how we were doing after that. The other waitress got us one refill. And we had to wait an extra twenty minutes after we were done eating for our waitress to bring us the check. The place is very small and dingy and wasnt very busy. She walked by our table numerous times and never asked us if we needed anything. THe service was so horrible I'll never go back. And then we had to hunt down our change cause for some reason she thought we were going to tip her after all the horrible service.

Best food I have had in the area. 5 stars specifically for the location. otherwise 4 star solid. Disregard what others say about the interior. The neighborhood is in a rough area, but the restaurant itself has its own parking and is a little cozy eating spot with a fenced off back deck. I work in the area and have always seen this place on my yelp radar. Friendly workers, comfortable environment, but what really did it for me was the food- the food was outstanding and the portions were huge, all at a reasonable price. I got the shrimp diablo- tasted delicious and creamy with a perfect kick that doesnt overwhelm the eater. Tasted wonderful. Service was good, sat at the bar, the tender was fairly attentive and did a good job of making recommendations. I cant wait to come back

Best Italian food in the tri-state area. Don't let the neighborhood deter you. Everything on the menu is amazing...especially the eggplant.

One of my favs. Best house salad and dressing ever. I especially love the chicken bake and chicken diablo. The pizza is amazing. Both regular and bruchetta. Great bar! Oh, and I can't forget to mention the stuffed banana peppers if u like spicy!

The fried zucchini is really good, and the chicken parm sandwich was pretty yummy.

Great food and friendly staff. This is the second time I've been here and each time they bring out a basket of freshly break bread. I started with crab stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. They came on a tray with 6 mushroom caps stuffed with crabmeat. They were delicious. Even though I'm almost full from the mushrooms and the fresh baked bread, I order the veal parmesan. The veal parmesan shows up on a huge plate and I was only able to eat half of it. This is the second time I've eaten here and both times I've taken half of it home and had it for lunch the next day.

Staying at Mountaineer Casino/Racetrack I wanted to try some local options. Hesitant to try but what a great place to dine. Greeted immediately by, who I assume, was the owner. Nice fellow offered the bar or restaurant side. I choose the bar side since I was alone (TV's). The place was exactly how I would want a classic Italian restaurant to be, cozy and unpretentious. I ordered a garden salad that was delivered with a basket of crazy good housemade bread. Chicken Alio Oglio (spelling) was next and it was simply fantastic. Truly the best I've ever had. Service was spot on with a young staff that are obviously well trained. I'm going back tomorrow.
